Title I and Title III Parent & Family Engagement Resources
Title I Information
Title I provides supplemental funding to districts for resources to help schools with high concentrations of students from low-income families. The purpose of the funding is to provide a high-quality education that will enable all students to meet the state’s student performance standards. Title I, Part A supports schools in implementing either a school-wide program or a targeted assistance program. These programs must use effective methods and instructional strategies that are grounded in scientifically based research.
Title III - Bilingual / ESL Information
The goal of the bilingual/ESL education program is to help English Language Learners (ELLs) master the state curriculum and teach English to all participating students. We do this through explicit instruction in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in all academic areas.
